How to Show Hidden Windows File Extensions

How to show hidden Windows file extensions is simply a matter of making a selection inside folder options.

It's sometimes important to show hidden file extensions especially if you have downloaded an unknown file type and you need to look it up on the Internet. Also, sometimes you will receive a file from someone you know that accidentally deleted the file extension. In that case you will need to manually add the extension so the file will work. IMPORTANT: Never open files originating from unknown sources. You don't want to infect your system with a virus.
