How to Stop a Toilet From Overflowing
The water is rising in the toilet bowl. What can I do to stop it from overflowing ?
Quickly remove the tank lid on the back of the toilet. Reach inside the tank and lift
the float for the fill valve until you see the water in the bowl stop rising. The fill valve is attached to the largest object in the tank and uses a float on one end. You want to
lift the float in order to seal the fill valve so that the water will stop rising and prevent overflow.
