Starting a Fire for a Barbecue - Get it Started!
Steps for Starting a Fire for a Barbecue
In order to start a fire for a barbecue you will need wood or charcoal as the fuel source. Place wadded paper and kindling below the wood or charcoal and light the paper. Do not use gasoline or other flammable liquids. Charcoal lighter fluid can be used but it tends to flavor the food you are cooking and is not recommended. It's best to simply use an electric charcoal igniter rather than using lighter fluid. Another great alternative to using lighter fluid is a chimney starter. With these simple charcoal starters you can use either crumpled newspaper or propane stove to light the charcoal briquettes very quickly.
