Simple instructions for how to show hidden files on Windows XP.
By default Windows may not show you hidden files. Just like the hidden file extensions there is an easy way to change this.
Steps to show hidden files on Windows
1. Click Start > Control Panel.
2. Click Appearance and Themes, and then click Folder Options.
3. Select the View tab inside folder options and scroll down until you see "Show hidden files and folders".
4. Make the selection Show hidden files and folders like the example below and click Apply. You will now be able to see hidden Windows files.
