How to Make a Call on a BlackBerry

To make a call on a BlackBerry follow any of the following methods:

Method 1 - Press and it will display a list of contacts. Select the contact you want to call.

Method 2 - Simply start entering the number you want to call and hit send .

Method 3 - Press one time to make sure you are on the home screen. Then type the first letter of the name. e.g. When I press "D" on my phone it brings up D names I have in my contacts list, Diane Burke and Mike Davis. If I type "Da" it will only bring up Mike Davis. If I then scroll down I can select and call the number provided.

Method 4 - Locate the person you want to call from your Contacts folder (the icon looks like an open address book) and click on it. You can then choose from already added contacts by scrolling through them. Once you have located your desired contact simply click on the name. This will bring you to the record for that name. Highlight the phone number of that contact and click on it. It will then show you options. The option you choose is Call.
