Flashing Red Light on BlackBerry

The flashing red light on your BlackBerry indicates you have a new message when the LED flashes intermittently. This is called an LED Notification. There are other notification colors such as green, blue, red, orange that have different meanings.

Red LED notification meaning: A new message has arrived and your selected sound profile is set to notify you using LED.
