Make My Family Photos Into a Slideshow Screen Saver

These simple instructions explain how to take your family photos or other pictures and make them into a nice rotating slideshow display on your computer's desktop.

How to make a family photo slideshow screen saver on Windows.

STEPS:

1. First, verify that your family photos or pictures are uploaded to your My Pictures folder in Windows. It's usually located inside C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents/My Pictures. Once you have verified the photos are located in the My Pictures folder go to step #2. Note: You can use a different folder for your slideshow by indicating a different file directory.

2. Right click on any blank area of your desktop and choose Properties. Select the tab labeled Screen Saver.

3. Inside the Screen Saver tab of Display Properties, choose My Pictures Slideshow as the example below illustrates.

4. Next, choose the wait time in minutes. This will be how long the computer will wait to display the slideshow. So if you choose 10 minutes then whenever your computer is idle for 10 minutes the screen saver will begin.

3. After you have chosen the wait time, click on Apply to apply the changes so that your family photos will display.
