Use Different Folder for My Slideshow Screen Saver Photos

These simple instructions explain how use a different folder than the default My Pictures folder for displaying a photo slideshow screensaver.

How to use different folders for the family photo slideshow screen saver on Windows.

STEPS:

1. First, verify that your family photos or pictures are uploaded to a file folder you can access. For example, if you created a folder of photos on your desktop then it would be located in a directory similar to this: C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\family photos

2. Right click on any blank area of your desktop and choose Properties. Select the tab labeled Screen Saver.

3. Inside the Screen Saver tab of Display Properties, My Pictures Slideshow should already be selected. If it isn't then go ahead and select My Pictures Slideshow from the drop-down list.

4. On the same Saver tab of Display Properties look for a button that says Settings and click on it.

5. Once Screen Saver Options is open then select Browse where it says "Use pictures in this folder", and select the folder that contains your photos like the example below shows.

6. Once you have selected your new photos folder then go ahead and click on OK and Apply.
